Discovering Toronto

Last Saturday we went to Toronto. We visited China Town and we bought lots of souvenirs for our friends and family. We also went to the St. Lawrence's market, which was really nice. There were a bunch of different types of food from diverse countries like English, Chinese, Spanish, Canadian ( of course)... We tried Canadian mustard for free and the one I ate was very spicy. We also went to the Eaton Centre again and we bought more clothes and accessories. Toronto is great. Marina V.

We went to Toronto last Saturday. As we couldn't visit Chinatown the other day because of the rain we went three days ago and we bought a lot of souvenirs for friends and family. It was weird to be there because it looked like you were in China; everything was written in English and in Chinese.
Also we were at some PanAm festivities in Nathan Phillips Square where there were a lot of people enjoying all the activities that were prepared. After that, we went to St. Lawrence Market where we tried food from different countries and we were dancing salsa. It was amazing, all the people were taking pictures and dancing, it was a very lively area and we enjoyed it a lot.
We are having a very good time here and hopefully it will continue like that. Violeta L.
When we went to Toronto we walked around the city and the different neighbourhoods, then we went to Chinatown where there were a lot of souvenirs and food shops.
At Nathan Phillips Square there were different Pan Am festivities like moving circus-musicians or singers and some big letters too that said the word "TORONTO", we took some photos there.
Then we went to the St. Lawrence Market, where there was food from different countries and we ate Peameal beacon, sausages and Canadian mustard for free. Behind the market there was a performance and we danced salsa, it was quite fun!! Ainhoa J.
 Hi blog,
This last weekend we have returned to Toronto, and it was a very amazing experience.
Firstly, when we arrived we went to the St. Lawrence Market, it is a food market where we try different kinds of Canadian food like the peameal bacon or the Canadian mustards.
Outside the Market, there was a Cuban festival, and we started to dance salsa, it was very funny. After, we went around the neighbourhoods, and we stopped in one of the Pan Am Games festivities, there were people dancing and singing, also the TV was there, and they asked us about the Pan Am Games, although the questions were a bit silly because we don't have a lot of knowledge about them, hahaha!
Then, we went to Chinatown, there were a lot of things, but the highlight was the souvenir shops.
And, at the end, we went outside the Eaton Centre to another festivity and to the Hard Rock, it was a very nice day. Ana B.

These last two weekends I didn't go to Toronto or shopping like the girls. I preferred to go camping with my great host family. Camping here in Canada is something very common and having a canoe is essential for life in Canada. There are two different way of camping; you can go to the forest, sleep in tents, make a camp fire ... (like I did the first time I went camping) or you can go to a cottage, sleeping in a house near a lake, sunbathing...(like I did the second weekend at Lake Huron). But when you are at Lake Huron you completely forget that you are in a lake and you start to think you are in a beach because there is sand, waves, sun, people with umbrellas, sand castles...
