So Far So...

 

 GOOD! Hi again friends! Since last Wednesday we have done many activities and things here in Hamilton. On Thursday we went to do a hike around Hamilton and we took many photos during this afternoon because there were very good views of the city where we went to do the hike. On Friday we went to the Public Library of Hamilton, there, we did some games like Just Dance, and if you won a game they gave you a prize, like books or tee-shirts. They were very kind and nice with us and I had fun. This night, I went with my family to a street which has many art galleries and vintage shops, there I had fun because there were people with different styles and that remind me of Candem Town in London. On Saturday we went to Toronto to see a match of baseball of the Blue Jays, it was good but the journey was too hot and I was tired. The baseball game was exciting and new for me, and I enjoyed it a lot because I had never been in any baseball match. After that, we went to a big shopping centre and we did shopping and finally we had dinner inside of the shopping centre, in McDonals. On Sunday I went to Limeridge Mall with some of my friends, and there we bought some souvenirs for our families. Yesterday, on Tuesday, we went to the hall of fame of football because here in Hamilton there is a team of American football, it is called Tiger Cats. We also went to the Harbour and to the cinema, I saw Spiderman with some of my friends, I loved this movie because it was in 3D and it was great! Today, as it is Wednesday we have family day, so I will be this afternoon with them. See you soon friends!- Ana J.

 

 Amazing! This week in Canada has been wonderful, and we have done a lot of different things.
On Friday, we went to the Hamilton Public Library and we did there something like a quiz, which was really good. Then it started to rain, and we couldn't do more things.
At the weekend we went to Toronto to see the Blue Jays' match. It was a new and an exciting experience and we really enjoyed the match. Then we went shopping and after that, we came back to Hamilton. Sunday was a very relaxed day, and I only went with my "mama" to the gym, and then to one of her brothers' house. It was great!
On Tuesday we also went to the library, but this time to learn how to search for books in it. Before this, we went to Canadian Football Hall of Fame. And in the afternoon, we went to see the Hamilton Harbour, and we enjoyed the views of the lake very much. I hope this week will be, at least, the same as this one.- Mikel E.

 

INCREDIBLE! Hi people! Here we are again. The experience in Canada is so good. We are visiting places, doing interesting things...

On Thursday went on a hike to a park and we could see Hamilton Downtown.

On Friday we went to the Public Library in Hamilton, it was the first time that the library accepted foreign students to visit the place. We did a game that consisted of searching for books or information in the library and the winners received presents like books, t-shirts, magazines... We played "Just dance" too. It was fun!!! In the evening it started to rain so we went home.

On Saturday, we went to Toronto to see a baseball game. Blue Jays against Cleveland. That day was so hot but it was a different experience because I haven't seen it before. Some people of the group were only there two hours and a half because of the sun. I enjoyed it a lot and I had a good time.

This week we had classes on Monday. Yesterday we went to the library again and we did another game related with hockey. After that, we went to the Harbour and we had lunch. Then we went to the cinema to see "Ice Age 4". Today is the family night and we are going to stay at home with our families.

Good... So What! This week, we went to the library of Hamilton, on Saturday we went to the exciting game of the Blue Jays against the Cleveland Indians. The Blue Jays won with a score of 11-9. After that, we went to the Eaton's Centre. On Sunday, I went to Toronto with my family, and although it rained, I had a great day because I was invited to dinner at an Indian restaurant with my family. Yesterday, we went to have lunch by lake Ontario, and after an activity in the library,  we went to see a movie. That's all folks! See you!- Alvaro G.

Interesting! My family is very nice with me. The excursions were fantastic. I like the excursions a lot. Wonderland was the best one. It was the best day. The excursions to Toronto were fantastic, but baseball was horrible, because the day was very hot. The cultural days in Hamilton were fun. The cinema was fantastic. We watched Ice Age 4.  In general I like this camp.- Salvador I.

Great! Last week we didn't do a lot of things, but we went to see the Blue Jays in Toronto, because it's the baseball team from Toronto, it wasn't amazing but it was okay. As we were watching the match it was so hot and so we were sunbathing. It was a new experience and sometimes it was exciting. After that we went to two different shopping centers in Toronto, the Bay and Eaton's Centre. It was very good because we could buy a lot of things and presents for our families (Saturday). On Friday we had a cultural day, we went to the Library in Hamilton and we played an entertaining game and if you won they gave you a present, and that was a motivation to play better. Yesterday we went to the library and we played another different game, after we went to the cinema and some students saw Spiderman and others saw Ice Age. In the morning we went to a museum of American Football, and after we went to the lake, and in the afternoon we played different games.- Maria I. G.

 

Amazing! Last Friday we went to the library to play a research game using the resources that the library has. We had a good time, and at the end of the activity we got books and t-shirts as a gift. On Saturday we went to Toronto to watch a Blue Jays baseball game, who played against the Indians from Cleveland. It was a good experience, but it would have been better if we didn't have to be sitting in the sun for the whole match! After the baseball game, we went shopping to the Eaton Center again. At the end of that day we were very tired.

This Tuesday we visited the Football Hall of Fame, a place where we learnt some things about American football. When we were finished there, we went downtown to the Hamilton Bay, and there we met a man from Spain who had come to Canada like forty years ago. After that, we went to the library again to search for information about hockey. Finally, we went to the cinema, and we had to choose between two films: Ice Age 4 or Spiderman; most of us went to watch Ice Age 4. It was an entertaining, funny film, but someone fell asleep during it...

So far we are having a great time here in Canada, and I hope that everything will be better for this next week, so we can have good memories about this trip.- Clara A.

Good! The experiences that I'm living in Canada are very interesting and exciting.

On Friday we went to the Hamilton Public library. First we did an activity, we had to find information on different books, different parts of the library... When we finished the activity we played Just Dance with the Wii and at 12:30 we went to eat lunch. At 1:30 we could go free in the shopping centre and in the afternoon we went outside but then it started to rain a lot and we had to wait 20 minutes and finally we decided to return again to the shopping centre. At 5 o'clock we went to our houses.

On Saturday we went to watch a baseball match. We arrived to Toronto at 12:30 aproximately and then we went to the Blue Jays stadium to watch the Cleveland vs Blue Jays.

The match lasted 3:30 minutes but finally the Blue Jays won 9-11, it was very nice match.

Sunday was the family day. I didn't do anything.  It was very boring but it's part of the experience.

On Monday we had a normal class and in the afternoon we had to improvise something because we couldn't go bowling. On Tuesday we went to visit the American football museum. It was a bit boring but it's part of the experience.- Sergi M.

 

Different! As we expected since the very first moment of the summer camp, to be in Canada is an amazing experience because we escape our daily routine, of what we were used to, in Spain. On Thursday we were on a hike, with the purpose of exploring Hamilton's downtown. Then on Sturday we traveled to Toronto to watch a Blue Jays' baseball game. We were witnesses of one of the best baseball performances, which ended with a score of 11 runs for the Blue Jays and just 9 runs for the Indians of Cleveland. It was all thanks to Encarnacion (a Blue Jays player) who scored 2 home runs. On Saturday, I went to a picnic in a park and then the family brought me to an African Safari. On Tuesday we went to visit the Fooball Hall of Fame of Canada, where we were provided with a lot of information about the game. After that we saw a movie in the cinema, the choices were Ice Age 4 or The Amaizing Spiderman. - Carlos L.

Nice! Hi readers! In these last days in Canada I've been doing a lot of things and going to many places too. For example, last Friday we visited the public library where we walked around there and we did an activity, after that all of us played Just Dance, a famous wii game which was so fun! Then, because of the rain we couldn't do any more as we were wet and the rain didn't stop so we went back home.
On Saturday, we went to a baseball match between a Canadian team "The Blue Jays" and USA team, the match was very nice as I have never been to any of them before; it was a new and exciting experience that I would like to repeat again!!
Finally, on Sunday it was family day so I had lunch with my family and after that we went to a village near Hamilton to go to a big mall where there a lot of shops, restaurants and shoe shops! It was a fun day!- Alicia B.

Surprised! by the time we have expended in Canada. Last week we went to Toronto as 2 weeks ago, this time the activity was to go to watch a game of baseball ( Blue Jays vs Indians Clevelands), the game started off boring but as time passed it became more exciting after 2 home runs by Encarnacion ( baseball player). After being nearly 3 hours and a half watching the game we decided to go shopping as we did the last time we went to Toronto. At the end of the day we ended up tired because of the heat as it is usually here!

Apart from Toronto's trip we have been also in the Football museum of Hamilton which I felt a little bit bored maybe cause I'm a girl and I'm not really keen on American football but as in all the trips at the end we had a lot of  fun. After the museum we went to the bay, it was really beautiful. After all to finish the day we ate at a park and we went to the cinema, some of us went to watch Spiderman and others as me we went to watch Ice Age.-Rebecca A.

Fun! During this week we did lots of things. On Friday we went to the library to do a research game were we had to look up something like Hockey... On Saturday we went to Toronto to see a baseball match. We saw the Blue Jays (Toronto) against the Indians (Cleveland), it was an amazing match because both teams scored lots of points and they did lot of homeruns. On Tuesday we had another long day because we went another time to the library were we did another research game and then we went to the American Football hall of fame which was very exciting and interesting and finally to relax a small bit we went to the cinema were we watched a movie which was good.- Piero P.

 

Good! On Saturday I went to the Blue Jays' match, it was a new exciting experience, but it was very hot. I learned a lot about baseball and I liked when the Blue Jays did home runs! Now, I like to play baseball! After the match we went to Eaton's Centre, where I bought a lot of things.

Yesterday I went to the Football Hall of Fame, there I learned a lot about American football. Then, I went to the harbour and I walked around it. After that, I went to the library and I did a hockey project. Finally, we went to the cinema, I enjoyed it!-Maria T.

Awesome! Last Wednesday we played soccer with my "sister's" friends who were 21 but we enjoyed it a lot and we made new friends. On Thursday we had classes and as the other Thursday we taught some people who want to learn a little bit of Spanish. In the evening we were supposed to do sports and we went on a walk. On Friday we went to the library and we played Just Dance which is a Wii game and we had a lot of fun there. On Saturday we went to Toronto to see a baseball match between Toronto Blue Jays against Cleveland Indians. And when the match finished we went to a mall for two hours more or less so I enjoyed it a lot. On Sunday I went to church in the morning and when it finished I went to the mall for some hours. On Monday we had classes in the morning and we couldn't go to the bowling because of the buses. On Tuesday we went to the bay, to the library again and we watched a film, it was Ice Age 4 and it was really good.- Inaki D.

What I've Been Upto!

Hi dear readers! Today I will talk about what we've been doing these last days. First, we went to Toronto, to the CN Tower, after that to Chinatown, a very different place to what we're used to seeing in our country. After that, we went to the mall, going through some stores like Hard Rock. It was huge. Then we returned to Hamilton. This Saturday we will return to watch a Blue Jays game, the home team. On Saturday we went to play miniature golf, baseball, climbing ... On Sunday we went to Mass and the rest of the day was spent with the family. On Monday, after class, went to the Hamilton Mall. On Tuesday, we had a great day at Canada' s Wonderland. That's all friends, see you next Wednesday!- Alvaro G.

 

In these last days in Canada I've been doing many things and going to many places. On Friday I went Toronto. In Toronto we visited the CN Tower, China town and we went shopping in a big shopping centre. The first thing that we visited on Friday was the CN Tower, this tower is very high and it was the highest in the world for more than 30 years, the tower was built to be an antenna. After the CN Tower the second thing that we visited in Toronto was China town. China town is a small area that you find in Toronto; here you can find Chinese shops, businesses in English and Mandarin Chinese. The last thing that we did in Toronto was going to the shopping centre to buy things. On Saturday we went, in the afternoon to Adventure Village. Adventure Village is a park situated in Hamilton, there you can do many games like baseball, mini golf, rock climbing and laser tag. This park is not so big but you can have a lot of fun with your friends. On Sunday was  family day but we saw our friends too because we went to mass all together. On Monday evening we met at Mohawk and we went to Limeridge mall were we did some shopping. On Tuesday we went to Canada's Wonderland, it's a park where there are lot of roller coasters, shows... they have as well inside the park a water park where you can go and refresh yourself. -Peiro P.

We've been doing a lot of interesting things.
On Friday, we went to Toronto, we visited the CN Tower and China Town too. We saw a street performance and we went to a shopping center. It was so hot that day! On Saturday, I went with my family to Sauble Beach in the North and we went to the Sauble falls. It was exciting and I had a good time.
On Tuesday we went to Wonderland. There was a water park inside it! Some rides were high and I rode all of them except two. We took the school bus to go there and everything was good. We are having a good time in Canada.- Maria I. B.

The lasts 5 days in Canda were exciting.
Last Friday we went to Toronto and we visited a lot of zones of the city.
Frist we visited the CN Tower, it was very nice, you could see all the city and you could eat in one restaurant with magnificent views, incredible. When we finished visiting the CN tower, we went to China Town, I didn't like it, but is interesting to see that street because it's exacly the same street that you can find in China, also the things that they sold are very cheap. At 5 o'clock aproximately we arrived to the sopping Centre, it's very big, bigger than spanish shopping centres. At 7:20 pm we toke the bus to Hamilton.

On Saturday we went to the Adventure Village, a little park where you can play minigolf, baseball, climb, gun battle and crazy cars. I went to 4 attractions, it was nice, the game that I liked most was the gun battle.
Sunday I went to Mass. It was nice, but I couldn't understand all the words that the priest said.
On Sunday also I went to the beach with my family. It was nice, but I don't want to go again because if you stay all day at the beach you will be bored.
On Tuesday we went to Canada's Wonderland, It was a good experience the only problem is that I got lost because the park is very big, but I went on three attractions, it was incredible. - Sergi M.

This week has been really great in Canada.
We went to Toronto on Friday, and there we saw the CN tower, China town and one shopping center in which we bought a lot of different things. It was very hot, but we enjoyed the day in Toronto. At the weekend we went to Adventure Village, where we played mini golf, baseball and a laser tag; and we also were in church on Sunday and in the afternoon I was in a sports centre with my "mama" in which I swam and where I also went to the gym.
On Monday we were in class in the morning and in Lime Ridge (a shopping centre) in the evening. Tuesday has been the best day of the week because we went to Canada's Wonderland: there, we were in a lot of roller coasters, swimming pools, slides... We went there in a bus which is similar to the buses that appear in The Simpsons! It was a wonderful day!

The last week was hectic: on Friday, we went to Toronto to see the CN Tower, which was huge (we had great views of the whole city of Toronto), Chinatown, with all its Chinese population and the little shops all along the streets, and the Eaton Center, which was by far our favourite one, with lots of stores where we could find everything we wanted. On Saturday we went to Adventure Village to play baseball and mini golf. We also had a chance to do rock climbing and drive the Krazy Kars, but what we enjoyed the most was Laser Tag.
On July 10th we went to Canada’s Wonderland, an enormous park with all kinds of roller coasters and other things where we had a great time riding them, even though it was a super hot day… But we stayed cool by going to the slides at the water park and splashing around in the pools.- Clara A.

This week I have enjoyed being in Canada a lot. On Friday we went to Toronto and there we saw the CN Tower, Chinatown and finally a huge mall opposite the central square where we went shopping for two hours more or less. On Saturday we went to Adventure Village where we could play baseball, mini-golf, laser tag, karts and climbing. On Sunday was family day. I enjoyed it a lot because I watched TV with them and we talked about a lot of interesting things. On Monday we went to classes in the morning and in the afternoon we went to the mall and there we all bought a lot of very cheap things because we found a lot of things cheaper than in Spain. On Tuesday we went to Wonderland and I think that was the best day of this whole week.- Inaki D.

 

Last week was very busy, because we did a lot of things. On Friday we went to Toronto, we saw the CN Tower which was incredible and very tall. After we went to China Town that was not very nice because it smelled very bad. Then we saw the parliament, and near it was a bigger shopping center called Eaton Center that was very very nice. On Saturday we went to Adventure Village and we did different activities, that were so fun. On Sunday we went to mass all together and that was good, after I had a barbecue with my family. It was very good and then we had a b-day party which was so funny with the friends of my Canadian sister. On Monday we had class but in the afternoon after dinner we went to the shopping center in Hamilton, and yesterday we went to Wonderland, and that was amazing. I love it. I enjoyed it a lot and I want to return there.- Maria I. G.

This week has been very busy for us, due to the huge amount of activities we have done. Firstly, on Friday, we went to Toronto, and once there we were able to visit the CN Tower and then we saw the hustle and bustle of a weekday in China Town, which was a really good experience for all of us.

On Saturday we went to Adventure Village to play mini golf and baseball. After that, on Tuesday, we travelled to Canada's Wonderland and we went on a lot of rides, one of them was the highest one in Canada, and we were also able to get on the first ride in Canada, which was made of wood.- Carlos L.

In these last days we've done many things such as going to Wonderland, Toronto, Adventure Village and some other activities. I have enjoyed all of them but I especially liked when we went to Toronto and Wonderland! It was amazing! In Toronto we went to the CN Tower which was incredibly high
and you could see almost all of Toronto! After the CN tower we went to China town to buy some souvenirs but as it was so hot we decided to go to a shopping center to buy some items especially for girls!
The day we went to Wonderland we had so much fun that we didn't want to go back home. It was a hot day as it's usually, we started with the roller coasters ending up in the water park!  At lunch time we ate some pizzas which were delicious and then we went on riding on the attractions. After a great day we ended up coming back on a typical yellow bus of America.- Rebecca A.

 

On Friday I went to Toronto to see the CN Tower. I liked it very much. Then I went to China Town it was very cheap.

On Saturday I went to Adventure Village, I played baseball and I went on Krazy Cars.

On Sunday I went to Christie Lake and I made a sand castle with my family.

Yesterday, I went to Canada's Wonderland, it has a lot of roller coasters that are very big. This year they added a new one, it's called Leviathan at first I was frightened but then I was very excited. Finally, I went to the water park. It was a lot of fun!- Maria T.

Last Friday, we went to Toronto, the most populated city of Canada. It was really hot on Friday but the journey was great!. We went there by bus. We visited the famous CN Tower, and the views were great! I took so many photos there. Later, we went to China Town and it was very different, all the businesses, shops, banks, restaurants were Chinese. Then, we went to Tim Hortons to rest a little there and drink something. After that, we went to a street performance with big crowds, there were several boys street dancing, they were really good and the dancers were nice and funny. Finally, we went to a huge shopping centre and I bought some clothes and I had supper with my friends in McDonalds. The next day, we went to Adventure Village and I did Rock Climbing, Laser Tag, Krazy Cars and Baseball. I enjoyed it a lot and at the end of the day I was very tired! On Sunday I went to mass with my mates and in the afternoon I had a rest with my family and we went to Burlington to walk throw the lake shore, we ate an ice-cream and we went home. At home I went to the pool because it was very hot. On Monday we had class in the morning and in the evening at 7 pm, we went to Limeridge mall and I bought some things but we didn't have too much time because one of my friends arrived late and we had to wait for him. Finally, yesterday we went to Canada's Wonderland. It was great and I enjoyed it a lot. It was hot, so I went first to the normal rides and after lunch I went to the water ones. The journey was interesting because I love these kind of activities!- Ana J.

Last Friday, we went to Toronto where we spent all day there and we visited the CN Tower where we could see amazing views, China Town, a street performance and a big shopping centre where there are a lot of shops such as Hollister, Aldo or American Eagle.
On Saturday we went to Adventure Village where we played baseball which was difficult and fast, krazy cars, mini golf and laser tag which was very fan!
Finally on Sunday we went to a church which was near our college and then I went to two Philipino birthday parties with my family which were fun and nice. At one of them there were a lot of different foods, specially Chinese food and karaoke.- Alicia B.

 

 

Last week we went to Toronto. We visited the CN Tower, China Town, Eaton's Center and the Hard Rock cafe. Another day we went to Adventure Village. I didn't like it because it was for children and after we had to walk a lot. On Monday we had class and after we went to spend money at Limeridge mall and on Tuesday we went to the Canada's Wonderland, it was ok but I ended tired. - Agustin P.
